The Djonnes, also known as the Odimassi Project, is a community-driven initiative dedicated to supporting street-connected children and youth struggling with drug and alcohol addiction in the Kayole area. Founded by an addiction survivor, the project is rooted in lived experience and a deep commitment to helping others rebuild their lives.
The initiative focuses on rehabilitation, education, and empowerment by guiding beneficiaries back to school, connecting them with vocational training opportunities, and facilitating internships. Through partnerships with the Nairobi County government and local businesses, the project aims to create sustainable pathways for reintegration into society, enabling young people to regain dignity, independence, and hope for a better future.
